I have had this lamp with the arms and had been using it with clothes pins to attach various body parts for drying after painting. I was at the used store looking for something else to hang longer pieces from and came upon the other thing. Maybe it is a banana stand? Anyway, had another idea, instead of the clothespins I made some loops on the ends of the parts with needle and thread. Works great. Just thought I would share.
